The pomp and ceremony of the advertisement did not live up to the reality when it was received. I gave it a 3Star because of the solid wood frame and the ease of breakdown for travel. To avoidTSA airport harassment, please check it in your luggage. Else, you could claim it as a walking stick; never break it down to go through the TSA.

We got this for a GREATEST SHOWMAN themed cabaret and it really was perfect. We were using a plastic toy one. It was too short and flimsy for tossing from one person to another. This one has a true wooden staff and a metal/brass knob. The heft was significant but made all the difference. Plus, it looks awesome up close and from the audience.
