The Baxters is now an original series on Prime Video, starring Roma Downey and Ted McGinley. A story of God’s grace, redemption, and victory even in the most difficult times, from Karen Kingsbury, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of “heart-tugging and emotional” ( Romantic Times ) life-changing fiction, co-authored with Gary Smalley. A Deadly Diagnosis Plans are being made for a family reunion, and nearly all the Baxters have a reason to celebrate―except one. As the preparations get underway, a deadly diagnosis sends shockwaves through the family and threatens to tear them apart. A Heartbreaking Secret The reality of what might lie ahead brings each of the Baxters to a place of faith and honesty. In the process, John and Elizabeth come to grips with a secret they haven’t shared with anyone, a secret they rarely admit even to themselves. At the same time, a young man is making his rise in Hollywood and wondering about his place in life. A Glorious Celebration Amid the threat of sorrow, the Baxters share in their most wonderful celebration of all―a moment to remember that love always wins out, no matter how long the struggle, and a reminder that God reigns, even in the darkest night. This touching story in the bestselling Christian fiction series about the Baxters invites readers into Erin and Sam’s attempt to adopt a child. As the family looks forward to a heartwarming reunion, they find out that Mr. and Mrs. Baxter have a secret that could change their lives forever. Fans will enjoy a personal note from Karen Kingsbury and Gary Smalley as well as discussion questions for book clubs Books featuring the Baxter family include: Redemption series: Redemption , Remember , Return , Rejoice , and Reunion Firstborn series: Fame , Forgiven , Found , Family , and Forever Sunrise series: Sunrise , Summer , Someday , and Sunset Review: The whole series. - I have LOVED every one of the books in this series and can't wait to start into the next series. The reader gets to really know each and every character and the Baxter family becomes the reader's family. Karen kings bury brings to light all levels of the individual s involved in the story and the reader is motivated to have deeper relationships with people in real life because of lessons learned in reading even one of these books. Thank you, Karen kingsbury, for helping us understand ourselves and others emotionally, behaviorally and spiritually! Review: Totally HOOKED!!! - I read the 5 books in two weeks. I am absolutely hooked on this series and so happy to find the story doesn't end here. This particular book I read in one day because I simply could not put it down! I must say I love the authors ability to be predictable but then she is not. There is always a small part of you that thinks " well maybe that's not what's going to happen..." Then I find myself reading faster to see if what I thought would happen would! LOL I have completely enjoyed reading this series. When I finish the next books about the Baxter's I plan to read other books by this Author. Makes me wonder if I will ever have time to read any other books in my Kindle !

I loved it!
This book and this series was something that I so enjoyed. The story pulls you into the family and the trials that they go through, you can relate to them. Through this book and series, I was reminded of all the awesome things that God can do in our lives, and even when they don't turn out the way we want them, God is still loving us and in control. I read all 14 of the Baxter books in 30 days and was so sad when I finally finished the last book. However, I have moved on to the "Above the Line" series and it is nice that we still get peeks of the Baxter family. I had borrowed several of these books from the library when I was reading them, but I think that I will actually end up buying them for my Kindle so I can read them again. It's definitely a keeper and I would recommend it to anyone, especially those who are going through tough times and need to be reminded of the hope in Jesus Christ.

The absolute best
I can't remember ever being so moved by a book. The story line was excellent, as with this entire series. I was very satisfied with the resolution, and now look forward eagerly to the spinoff series about to start. Living through the horrible cancer was so real--I identified so much with the mother, even though I've never been close to anyone who died from cancer. I'll never forget this series, and this book in particular. Yes, it was sad, but also showed the reader how to see the underlying joy. Most of all, it teaches a lesson about trusting in God's goodness. I'm Catholic, and my priest always likes to remind us that "God is good all the time, and all the time God is good." This book would serve as a fine example of that kind of faith.

Comforting
This series has been all consuming, very well written with good character development and strong relationships. I have lost a lot of sleep, having a lack of self control to stop reading when I should. This book handled death in the most comforting way I've ever read. Even in the sadness it was beautiful.

Reunion, important for family and friends.
we love a priority in our lives. The message Pastor Mark gave the Baxter family at the end of Reunion is one that stands for all of us. We don’t own the people in our lives; rather we borrow them. They are gifts from God that we have for just a moment.

I couldn’t put it down!
The book arrived early which was great as I was on holiday from work it meant I could get stuck in straight away! It was in great condition seen as it was used as well. Karen Kingsbury’s books have a habit of making you want more and she certainly didn’t disappoint. Even though it’s fiction it makes you want a deeper relationship with God and you can see how God works all situations for His glory and our good. It is a wonderful story, it will have you smiling and crying at the same time. I highly recommend but make sure you’ve read the rest of the books in the series first as this is the last one.

Lovely story
Bought this book because my face is on the cover! Enjoyed the story in its own right even though it is part of a series. Easy reading but thought provoking at the same time. Would even describe this book as helpful for those having problems
