I know is a stupid question, but since amazon pairs this product with the funtainer 16 onz bottle, I have to ask. Do this fit the 16 onz bottle?

It did not fit my daughter's 16 oz bottle. The spout part on the 12 oz bottle is taller. When I put the 12 oz replacement spout in the 16 oz bottle, the lid wouldn't screw on or shut tightly enough to prevent spills.

The descriptions says “2 soft silicone straws and 2 hard straw stems.” Is the hard stem part of the straw also silicone?

I'm sorry but I can not answer with a true fact the hard straws are silicone material. They are what I call a hard plastic used in many various types of drinking cups for cold drinks.
