Mardingtop 65L+10L Internal Frame Backpack for Hiking,Camping,Hunting,Backpacking Backpack with Rain Cover

I have yet to take it out on a trip as I just got it today. However I can say that it’s not as heavy as some would imply, unless an ounce matters for those who I won’t say serious (because everyone is serious), but distance is the journey for some. Where someone like me who would rather disappear in the woods, this pack will rock. Now because we are all serious about what we put on our backs I will say this pack is for me. It has plenty of places to hook up supplies. The material is heavier than the thin nylon that the distance trekker would want. So I don’t expect it to fall apart or tear so easily. And if it did it would probably be carelessness on my part. I don’t know how water resistant it is but I always spray my back packs with Scotch-guard anyway. So I’m not worried about it. I like the draw string inside the pack to close up and separate two compartments from one another. I had one that had a zipper that did that and although it never split on me. I was worried that it would stick from sand or something like that. Inside on the top flap has a few basic notes about calling for help and finding a direction (nice touch for a newbie and it won’t affect the weight of the pack at all). The pack I got had the detachable sides. Now that’s ok, but I feel that the velcro will eventually lose its effectiveness but there is a loop behind it that helps hold it in place along with a zipper.I did check it all over for defects and rips and found none at all. So I was really happy about that because customs delayed it a few days. And yes it’s made in China, but actually pretty impressed because it’s not cheap or shoddy from what I can tell. So whoever designed it was picky about it. The only down side I can say about it is that it’s a single stitch on the seams. But I’m not worried about that because it’s a heavy stitch and heavy thread being used and the material accepts that comfortably.I give it a solid thumbs up from me on what I feel it is meant for, a nice quiet week in the woods.May update after a few trips out with it

After 5 years, I admire the durability of this pack. I also like the comfort, big size and all the molly for my stuff.Man, I have put this pack through the WRINGER with days and nights of going through heavy brush to the next fishing spot along the banks of the Mississippi River, or enjoying another hobby of mine, bush craft. It’s held up very well.If you’re on a budget wanting a nice, roomy, comfortable and durable pack with tons of Molly, this one’s for you!If anyone’s curious about the fit of the thing, it’s adjustable and could fit a small or big guy/woman in it - I’m 5’8 3/4”and weigh 225 lbs.Not really many complaints with this pack besides the belts straps start to side on the shoulders with extra heavy weight - like a Dutch oven in there. Also, the zipper tends to unzip a little with the side storage. And props to them fixing the color of the rain fly to a more naturalistic color after people complained. But yeah, best bang for your buck.

Well constructed pack, fits my tall torso & is comfortable. I have the 65l & 10l so I don’t have an outlet for my hydration hose although it has a pouch to put it in & has a velcro tab at the top inside to hang the bag. So I just ran the tube out the top. Works ok but would prefer a real outlet. For the price, this is a great buy. I may also purchase the 45L for short hikes.One other thing - I would like to see a wider belt & sturdier buckle on the waist straps. The padding is fine & the zip pockets hold a good amount of gear for quick access with out removing the pack.

I bought three of these packs in 2021. After I ordered the first for myself, I ordered two more for a couple of my older sons.I have been backpacking for 50 years (literally) and still go about once per month on the average. The last trek with this pack was three days and 40 miles of the PCT. I had no comfort issues.I feel the pack is extremely well designed, and the craftsmanship is top-notch. I have 100's of miles on my pack and you couldn't tell it wasn't brand new.I'm 5'10" and about 165lbs. I wear size 30 pants to accommodate my butt, however my actual waist size is about 28-29". I have to wrap a material around my belt area to get the buckle to cinch tight enough to where it does not feel too loose. If I could get another inch or two of cinch it would be perfect. The only other flaw is design related. One of the side pouches Velcros, the other zips, but it zips up instead of down. I noticed after a long hike the zipper tends to go down a bit, maybe an inch or two. It doesn't cause any issues, I just find it annoying. Situated as they are on the sides, they should only be used for light weight items anyway, so there shouldn't be much force pulling the zipper.I know two other people (backpacking friends) that have ordered the same pack since seeing ours. I highly recommend this pack for anyone wanting a long-lasting, dependable pack and an unbeatable price.
