KidKraft Wooden Farmhouse Table & 4 Chairs Set, Children's Furniture for Arts and Activity – Pecan, Gift for Ages 3+

Purchased with for my Preschool aged son. We are doing preschool at home and we needed a place for him to write and sit and learn things and this is great. I spent days reviewing other sets and kept coming across the issue of sturdiness and durability. I needed something really sturdy because he is a 4 year old boy and isn’t the most gentle on things. I have seen him stand on and jump off of these chairs and I’ve watched him climb onto the table and stand up and it has held so much more than that. The chairs are always being pushed around and his older sisters have even sat on them as well as myself and it’s held all of us just fine. The most weight at one time i have seen on a chair is 160 pounds and it’s still just fine. I have had to wash some crayon off of it and it washed off great. I wouldn’t use anything abrasive on it but I used a magic eraser and it came right off. I would 1000x recommend this set to anyone needing durability.

I ordered the KidKraft Farmhouse Table and Chair Set on Tuesday and it arrived Thursday (yes, 48 hours later) with the FREE shipping option. Super happy with that. Thank you Amazon :) My husband put the set together in less than 30 minutes. The only problem we had was when he was putting the final chair together and one of the screws split the wood a little across the back of the chair. So be careful assembling the chairs, at least the back part. Other than that this is a beautiful solid wood table at a very reasonable price. I saw it on a specialty kids website and thought it was an "exclusive" and am so glad I checked Amazon to see if they had it. It was $10 cheaper and free shipping without the "drop ship" / big item fee.As for durability I can't say yet - but it looks very sturdy. I would expect the pecan finish to get scratches and chips with use by our 4 year old and 1 year old. We have a very sturdy table and chairs that I custom decorated for our son with a Thomas the Train theme from Ikea that is holding up fine. However, it only came with 2 chairs and my husband had to round the corners down (this set comes without the sharp corners). We purchased this set because it blends with the living room decor better and has FOUR chairs :) I think it will be a great addition to our collection of kiddo sized furniture. If it falls apart or something drastic I will add an update - but from initial assembly and use I don't anticipate any problems.

I ordered this table and chairs for my 21 month old son, and he LOVES it. The set comes completely unassembled, so be prepared for 1-2 hours to put it together. This is one of the most sturdy table and chair sets I have ever seen for toddlers. My 6 foot, 185 pound husband can put all his weight on a chair and it doesn't even creak. The quality of the wood is fantastic, but the color is not at all like the picture shows. I expected a darker stain, however the table we received borders on orange. Like burnt orange. I'm going to paint it because the color clashes so badly with the furniture we already have. I should have just ordered the white one. I would have given this 5 stars if it weren't for the color.

I own a home daycare so I’m EXTREMELY PICKY about kids furniture. First I was disappointed I thought it was darker in color. But it’s still very nice looking. The instructions and parts included were well labeled and easy to understand. No translation needed. I did have a hard time with the locking nuts and used a pair of channel locks to turn them. They give one if those terrible flat wrenches which are garbage.On the flip side the hardware is nice and sturdy and the Allen bolts were smooth and easy to adjust. It took me less than an hour to put together and when it was done I felt like it was a nice sturdy little set! It’s a decent size as well not to big for a toddler and not to small for a preschooler. I’m very happy with this purchase.

We was very impressed with the solid wood quality, craftsmanship, finish on this table and chairs set. It was priced very reasonable for the high quality of the set. The little girl's grandfather assembled the set quickly. We got the pecan finish, and it fits in with the parents living room furniture. The 3 years-old child likes it, too! Her 11-year-old cousin fit at the table, too, helping her with play doh time. My photo from phone wouldn't load without changing format, sorry. That's an Amazon review problem.

I purchased this table for my two kids ages 4 and 2 for Christmas 2014. It is very sturdy and the perfect size for them. I do not like the fact that all four tables do not tuck under the table at once. We are only March of 2015 and the "paint" is already coming off of the chairs where they touch the table when pushed in and the top of the table has a small area like that also. My kids are not rough kids by any means either. Overall I think its a good table for the price, but just wish it would not be chipping already.

Received this table timely but one of the chairs was damaged. I immediately called Kid Kraft. A replacement chair was not in stock & would have to be back ordered. Didn't have a clue just how long I would have to wait for the chair. To my surprise, it was delivered just a few weeks later & packaged extremely well! They even shipped a whole new set of hardware (which I really didn't need as I had it from the original order)! Was very impressed with Kid Kraft's attention to detail & promptness. I bought some clear plastic tablecloth by the yard & fitted it over the table so it won't get too damaged from child's play. Overall a great little table & chairs for the price.

Looks great, the grandchildren love it. Possibly too soft of wood for years of use and appearance to stay looking good.
