Men's Fishing Safari Vest with Pockets for Summer Travel

The fit is true to size. I actually buy these to work the farm. This one has 12 pockets of varying sizes. Some are mesh on one side against your body and others are solid material. I like the zippers and the pocket on the bottom right is big and deep which is perfect for my phone. I can put eye meds ore sponges for cleaning water buckets. Most important, I can put treats in my pockets. This vest looks like it may hold up a little better than the last one that was a different brand. This one has metal zippers, not plastic and the stitching looks to be a bit stronger. I really put the last one through hard testing with wearing it 12 to 14 hours a day, 7 days a week for the entire summer. I just started wearing this vest today so we'll see how it fairs through the winter months.

I’m a 160lb woman and wear this in a medium. I like it oversized so I can wear it over my coat in the winter. It’s great for dog walking as I can put all my gear in the many pockets. Mesh fabric ensures you don’t get overheated during summer hikes. The only issue is it does start falling apart after a couple of years worth of daily wearing and washes/dries (zips on pockets start breaking etc.) but I do wear mine every day, twice a day for dog walks and wash it about once every 2 months.

Apparently there are versions of this vest. I think mine is V2. Despite the product page making a big deal about having 10 pockets, mine has 12. The two extra are large zipper pockets in the inside front. These are big enough for gloves, a hat, or sandwiches. Very nice. See photo. I bought mine for walking the dog in hot weather. It can easily store clean poopbags, used ones, treats, pepper spray, Kleenex, a phone, and more. Some of the pockets are tiny, some have zippers, some Velcro. Examine the product photos to see which are what. The first vest I received I returned for a replacement. The vest came with the front zipper zipped up. I could not get the zipper to zip down completely to separate the two sides. I pulled and tugged and wiggled the zipper but it would not come apart at the bottom. The second vest that I received had much the same problem. I pulled the vest on over my head (like a sweater) and was able to apply more downward pressure to get the zipper to unzip. It works oK now, although it feels a little rough. Others have had a similar problem. Note also that the zipper handle is on the left, the opposite of US garments. I am giving the vest 4 stars. 3 stars for the problem with the zipper and one more star because this seems to be all in all a good vest for its price point, and because Amazon replaced it promptly. I can't judge durability. I will comment if I have problems. AS others noted, the sizing is a trifle small,.

I got this primarily as a travel vest. I wanted something I could put my passport, wallet, phone, etc. in pockets that securely zipped closed when I traveled and this fits the bill perfectly. It has several large pockets and is very lightweight and seems well constructed. Great value for the money and it folds up into a small package when you are not using it and takes up barely any space in your suitcase. Highly recommended!

I bought an XL. I'm 6ft 225lbs with a 51-inch chest and 40 waist. This xL size is at the outer limit of my body but fits. I am using it when I hike and walk. If you are bigger than me I don't know if they have an xxL size. The vest is lightweight, and has decent stitching but it is not anything for heavy work use.

pockets are super great

Seems we women almost always lose out in the pockets department. Why? Well, I dunno. Maybe the manufacturers don't have enough material to go around? I'm 5'3", 160#. I ordered a mens' size X-Large, and it fits perfectly. Well-constructed, and did I mention POCKETS? You don't have to schlepp around with a bulky purse when you've got POCKETS. Easily accommodates cell phones, wallet, reading glasses, your quarter for the Aldi shopping carts, your car keys or fob, your cigs, and whatever-the-heck else you think you need because POCKETS!!! I have received compliments on my forward-thinking solution to the pockets problem. Also, I no longer wear bras because I HATE THEM (TMI?). The front patch pockets help to disguise this squicky fact from the general public. Go get one now.

I bought this formy sun-in-law. He loved it. It's great for hiking, cycling, and travel, with its multi-pocket design that keeps everything handy. The large interior pockets are perfect for a passport and for keeping valuables, including money, safe.
