Our 8 month old loves the bells attached to his ball ramp so I wanted to get him something he could travel around the house with. The bells on this are large enough that I'm not concerned with them coming off - they barely fit in his mouth. The bells are attached to a leather strap that has hardened a bit from baby drool. He's played with it daily for over a month now and none of the bells have shown signs of coming loose. Overall, this was exactly what I was hoping for - a durable bell tambourine.

My bird loves bells, so I thought this would be good for him. He likes it a lot, chewing the leather and grinding his beak on the screws. He also loves the sound it makes and rings it from time to time. This is very good for him since it is not stained and the leather is not treated with anything as far as I can tell. Everything is very raw meaning he is not poisoned from chemicals leaking out of the materials. I'm sure this is meant for little kids but this was a great purchase for my bird.

I bought this for an 8-month-old I take care of. You know babies put everything into their mouth and this is no exception. However, it's too big for him to choke on. The bells are attached very well to the leather strap and the wooden handle is sturdy. We both love it!

My grandbaby still puts things in her mouth. I have to supervise her playing with this because I’m not sure if the bells would cut her tongue. It’s not something that would cut her fingers. I will not let her put it in her mouth.

Far better of a product than other jingle bell products. Other jingle bell products use knots to secure the jingle bell to the shaking device (whether that's a rod/rattle type shape, or bracelet). This product uses metal grommets to secure the jingle bell to actual leather. I don't have to worry about my toddler putting this in their mouth and getting a jingle bell off OR just worried about the jingle bell coming off on its own and then becoming a choking hazard. Highly recommend this product.

Perfect, exactly what I was looking for to play Christmas music. Sturdy, good sounding and it got here way before the shipping estimate.

Great for babies/kids. My son loves those stereotypical multi-colored jingle bell sticks, but I couldn't find any small kid friendly ones that had the bells securely attached. My 1 year old has thoroughly tested this, and he can't get the bells to detach. He has chewed some color off of the leather band, but otherwise it seems very durable. It is a bit more awkward in his hands than a stick, but he had the handle figured out within a week or so.
