This Stage-2 cold air intake system resulted in 11 max horsepower, 15 lbs. x ft. torque and out-flowed the factory intake by 38% on the 2012-2014 BMW 328i (F30) N20 Turbo. This system includes a durable 18-gauge, powder-coated heat shield and features a washable/reusable conical Pro 5R air filter for maximum flow. The Pro 5R air filter uses five layers of progressively finer mesh cotton gauze oiled media to provide maximum airflow for best performance results. A 3 inch one-piece mandrel bent wrinkle-black powder-coated intake tube and bracket, maximizes air velocity providing maximum performance and throttle response. This is a direct bolt-on kit that requires no cutting or drilling on OEM parts. Filter Flange Retention Design: The air filter uses a unique (patent pending) flange retention design that requires no hardware to mount the filter to the heat shield. Dyno Tested Intake Tube: This dyno tested intake tube is designed to maximize air velocity and uses the latest engineering tools for maximum performance. This large intake tube is mandrel-bent to smoothly direct the increased airflow into the engine. 7" Tall Conical Filter: This intake utilizes a huge, 7" conical Pro 5R Filter. This filter features 5-layers of progressively finer mesh cotton gauze oiled media to provide maximum flow with excellent filtration. The Pro 5R filter media has been tested at 98.6% efficient. One-Piece Heat-Shield: The air filter is housed in a one-piece, black powder-coated 18-gauge heat shield that keeps warm engine air out for maximum performance. This one-piece heat shield snaps onto the lower half of the factory air box. Installs quick, noticeable intake sound during acceleration, packaging was not good.
Product installs per instructions. Instructions do not include step for what to do with small vacuum hose connected to stock intake air box. Packaging was too open inside AFE box; allowed contents to bounce around and bend air box bracket. Was able to bend back but not perfect. They need to figure that packaging out; only reason I did not give this a 5-star.I would also recommend they add a lip or edge at the ends of the new intake tube. This would allow a better seal using hose clamps. Just flaring these isn't a guarantee and doesn't provide peace-of-mind. A small rubber flex might also get this done but would add hose clamps and failure points.

Not Compatible with a 2016 bmw 328i, like it says.
I received my afe power intake that I ordered off Amazon. The directions manual said that the part is a match for my 2016 bmw 328i, but the tube didn't come with the nipple for the vacuum hose they, and they didn't show anywhere about what to do with the vaccum hose. I am highly pissed off that they would sell a product that's not made to fit a 2016, like it says it would be compatible with.

The intake sounds amazing. You can hear turbos spool when under load and there is a loud blowoff noise. The only problem I had is that the blue filter lost its color very quickly and is now grey due to heat. Other than that great product.
