Still kicking myself for not having bought one sooner.
From time to time, there's a product that you acknowledge you could use, but for whatever don't ever end up buying. I use rechargeable batteries in most of my household electronics. For years, I've been saving the plastic shells from the original packaging and using those in a small cardboard box to organize my reserve batteries. Cheap, efficient, effective.....but not particularly sightly (and escaped batteries in my drawer were not uncommon). I actually remembered my jury-rigged storage while I was Amazon and after a few minutes of searching, settled on the Range Kleen 82-battery organizer. It seemed like massive overkill at the time, but the size was right for my kitchen drawer. Once it arrived and I transferred everything from the box-o-batteries to the organizer. Beautiful. Batteries fit well, easy to see exactly what you have and how many, nothing rolling around in the drawer. I thought the charge detector was gimmicky, but it's easy to use and surprisingly effective. I really happy with this product and this purchase. If you use rechargeable batteries, this is good way to organize, store, and manage your battery collection. If you're a little type-A and are bothered by partial packs of batteries wherever you keep them, this helps with that too. Highly recommended.

Love keeping my batteries organized!!!
This is a great product! I used to keep batteries in a drawer, loose. This is hung on the wall and keeping them very organized. I love the battery tester feature that is on it, too!

Nice way to organize your batteries and a good tester too!
I bought this a few months ago now and I'm so glad I pulled the plug and got it! This is an excellent organizer that beats any drawer hands-down. It's very convenient to go to it and pick out the specific battery I need, as it really has a place for all of the major battery types. On top of that (quite literally in this case) there is a battery tester that is perfect for making the call of whether or not to store a battery on it, or whether a battery you pull from it is of a full charge. Since I've had this I've also received compliments from friends on it, they just look the way it really takes care of organizing your batteries. My only complaint with it is that I typically have more AAA and AA batteries than 9V and C and D batteries, and there are only a limited number of spaces on it for each type (and they don't work well when you set other types in the wrong place). Pros: A great organizer for batteries Battery tester is perfectly positioned and convenient Much better alternative to storing batteries in a drawer Cons: The number of positions for each battery type is locked, and I would have liked more slots for AAA and AA batteries.

Very Happy! GREAT GIFT for New Home or Weddings
Purchased this item on May 14, 2015. So very happy with this purchase! I read nearly ALL reviews before purchasing, and am very happy I did not let the negative comments sway me away. Upon re-reading reviews AGAIN, I've noticed that the majority of negative / neutral reviews (3 stars or LESS) were "older review" dates. If you review by "most recent" you'll see satisfaction is GREATLY improved in more recent year/s. Obviously, the design has been greatly improved / modified in more recent year(s) vs. reviews as far back as 2006 to 2012 (+/-) which had the majority of the complaints. Please note that the dimensions posted (12" x 12") is NOT correct - image clearly shows rectangle shape, not square. Mine measures 11" x 6" - was a pleasant surprise for us as it fits inside our "battery drawer" with room to spare to keep our three rechargeable battery chargers. Tho, hanging on the wall would work nicely for us, too. NOTE: I would not hang it onto a cabinet door, as a loaded battery organizer is quite heavy & could cause damage to the hinges. Battery Organizer is designed to hold the batteries at a "tilt" (slightly aiming upwards) and when hung at the 90-degree angle (flat against wall) this allows for secure retention of all batteries. I'm not good with "angles" but I'd estimate that when I held the rack tilted forward to approx. 75-degree angle, that's when the 9-volt batteries would slide out - others still remained. So I feel confident about hanging this organizer on the wall, but still would not hang on a door (or cabinet door). To do so would risk the possibility of batteries falling out with the motion of opening / closing the door. Would be horrible to have a battery fall unnoticed onto floor & have someone slip on it - especially if near stairs. Best to be "safe, not sorry", right?! Battery Organizer comes with three screws & three anchors, and you'll find the organizer is designed with three screw holes: top of rack (tester = top) has two holes found inside the top AAA row (far left & far right spots), the third hole is found within the bottom AAA spot, located between D & C battery areas. Battery Tester is a handy little feature - mine works well for my desired purpose: to check if battery is usable. Sometimes we have 'slightly used' batteries mixed with the new; sometimes 'dead' get added in there too; and for rechargeable battery testing too. Sometimes a battery is still usable but doesn't have enough charge left for a "big draw item" (small clock vs. large mechanical item) - tester allows me to see if there's still some charge left to be used. Also, I've found rechargeable batteries to be a huge nuisance... until now! Are they charged? Did they take or hold a charge? Is it the battery or the item that is faulty? With this handy little tester, which is readily found & easily used (removable, too!), it removed all the guess work! For example, found I had one rechargeable AAA that wasn't taking a charge. HOWEVER, if you're looking for a professional / commercial grade tester - this likely won't fit your needs. It met & exceeded my needs & expectation. Organization; Safety; Convenience; Great Price (under $15); Practical; Useful - what more could you ask from such an item? Adding this to my GREAT gift-able item list... great for Father's Day; House-warming / New Home Gift; Wedding Gift... really, just about ANY occasion and for ANYone! Loved the suggestion another reviewer gave: "filling with batteries" as part of the gift-giving. Tho, my budget likely swing only "partial fill". ;) UPDATE: October 31, 2016 - only one new complaint - this handy organizational item is making it much to convenient for EVERYONE in our household (and some of our visiting family members, too) to locate and take our batteries! LOL Has been utilized for just over 17 months and it's still working great. Only tiny issue, one of those "visiting family members" didn't realize how the tester was to "slide up & off" the top of the organizer, and used too much force (man-handled!) pulling it off. Nothing broke, but they did separate the tester into two parts. Simple fix, just glued it back together - still works just fine. Guess it's time to find a new "hiding place" for my battery organizer! Wow! You read my complete review? :D Please click "yes" or "no" button to vote as to how helpful you found my review. Welcome to add any comment, too. THANK YOU!

Great organizer
Love this little thing. It's smaller than i expected (probably a little smaller than a piece of regular paper) but I guess that's a good thing. It fits a bunch of batteries and the tester works well, though it took me a little while to figure out how to use it. The organizer i got is not the same one as shown in the picture though! I actually like mine better since it has more slots for AA and AAA, and less for the 9V, C's and D's. Mine also has a place to store some button batteries. I don't currently have a picture but if you look through others' pictures, you can see exactly waht it looks like. It came with mounting hardware (which i didn't use yet). I would definitely buy this again! It's great to know how many of each battery I have - especially useful if a big storm is coming and I need to prepare some supplies.

I really like this Battery Organizer! It fits perfectly in a drawer, and keeps lots of batteries organized and easy to get to. I like that you can easily see what batteries you are running out of and need to restock. I bought this after reading about the risks of improperly stored batteries, and I also hate sifting through a pile of batteries to look for the one I need. The battery tester has worked well, though it's not incredibly accurate when it comes to 9 Volt batteries. I would highly reccommend this to anyone!

... for husband. It eventually came and initially he said he didn't need it, he knew where all his cells were. On a shelf, in boxes, on his desk - he hadn't enough to fill the organiser He said. But of course he did, after he'd tested all his stock he had lots to recycle. The organiser is now mounted on the side of his shelves, giving more space for more Stuff on them, sigh ... This organiser will be a boon to anyone who stores cells 'against the day' and especially those who use rechargeable cells and would like to find them easily. Its versatility is surprising.

Most sensible gadget I own. Pays for itself in 6 months because without it batteries are loose in a drawer and they discharge in less than a week because they short against each other. This lets you see just how many spares of each type you have so you never have the frustration of searching for a set of batteries, especially useful with children's toys at Christmas. The inbuilt tester is a nice little bonus.

Keep your batteries organized and visible so that you will know how many you have of each size. This is particularly good for the 9 volt batteries. 9 volts should never be stored loose in a drawer as they can start a fire if they are in contact with something like steel wool, etc. This organizer works perfectly for our household. It is a compact way to store a lot of batteries in a small amount of space.

Very nice and seemingly solid organizer. I don't really care for the battery tester - I just use a multimeter. Would have liked the sleeves to be a bit tighter to offer some friction against the batteries to keep them solidly in the organizer. Especially if wall mounting. All in all, I would recommend it.
