These days, with Amazon products, it really is a jungle ruled by the law of caveat emptor. I've seen (and unfortunately purchased) poorly made products from unknown ports-of-origin that fail in performing a simple job. I was dubious that this seat would be decent but it seemed to be made well and the manufacturer appeared active in answering questions. Consider this product a diamond in the rough of Amazon. I bought this seat for a 20+ year-old hybrid bike as the old seat had seriously deteriorated. Within a minute or two, I had it mounted and was off peddling my bike. The seat, for me, is just right -- firm but not rock-solid-- and you basically forget about it. I took my bike over bumps, off curbs, and through some rough patches. No issues. No discomfort. I didn't ride for long--probably 45 minutes total--but was pushing the bike pretty hard and didn't have any problems in the posterior. I'm 5'11 160lbs male and felt like I could ride the bike all day with the seat. It comes with a cover--a nice touch--to keep it clean. I washed my bike after installing the seat and water basically rolls off it (I didn't really need to dry the seat like I did the other components). This seat is worth the risk. WIth so many products on Amazon being poorly made from brands no one has ever heard of , its nice when something does what you need for a fair price.

If you're not doing heavy-duty mountain biking, I think this seat will make your ride more comfortable. It certainly made my ride much more comfortable, compared with the hard factory seat. I know you’re supposed to wear special biking shorts, but I do mostly family biking wearing (gasp) jeans! :-) I almost took one star off because I don't see any evidence of anything like memory foam. It seems like this seat is entirely conventional foam, but I'm not an expert on foam and so could be wrong. Also either way it's really comfortable. When I went to install it, I looked at the seat post clamp and said, "this is not going to fit". But my bike just has a different system, and I easily removed two bolts and took off the included post mount, and it attached directly to my existing post mount without any issues or modifications needed. (See pictures) Took it out for a spin and adjustment and found this seat was surprisingly comfortable. It does have a much more laid-back feel than a stock mountain bike seat. This may or may not be a plus to you. I prefer to be comfortable and I do ride with my kids, so generally my ride is more laid back right now. And I can always easily put the factory seat back on if I ever need to something more aggressive. Overall the quality on this seat seems good. Didn’t see any issues or things that looked like poor workmanship. The seat felt centered on the post and my backside appreciated it. Overall I’d recommend this seat.

I was really skeptical considering the price but these seats are very comfortable and appear to be well made.

I paired this with a suspension post for my bike and my wife's bike. Before, we were jarred by every expansion crack on the asphalt and concrete. Now we ride washboards on dirt roads with ease.

Really wanted to like this one. But it kept turning on the seat post and it was too thick to be comfortable.
