It is so accurate! I took the advice of another reviewer when I sized the band. It is very easy but you need to take your time and, as he said, cut one link out at a time and don't hurry. It is slow that way but you make sure that you size it right, since you cannot replace any of the links you cut out!! I used a buck knife to make the cuts and an exacto knife to do any fine trimming. I have a set of jewelers screwdrivers and included in the set is one blade that is pointed so I used that to push out the pins in the band. Once you start one pin, it comes out easily. The cruise line ended up returning my money and I bought another from Amazon at a cheaper price! I cut my own by laying the band flat (not on edge as the cruise line person had) and using a sharp (!) wood chisel, pressing the chisel down firmly on the little groove...it worked perfectly! As for length, you should make a guess, being careful to make it too long the first time. Then trim it to fit as needed. Since you can take up a little slack (about 4 mm) by repositioning the pin, you should make a final cut just a little long. Hope this helps...all of this in addition to instructions in the box. I have been very satisfied with this watch, and once I has cataract surgery, I could see all the labels and dials..."}}]}]}
