Made from a naturally sustainable aragonite source, this sand helps to maintain the pH value of your aquarium to around 8.2 - 8.3. It also supports the alkalinity level. This dry reef base for reef and marine aquariums, premium quality, natural aragonite high in essential elements. This marine sand has been collected from a non-polluted pure naural environment, it is high in essential elements and promotes stability of pH and buffers alkalinity KH levels and easy to use, ideal for all marine fish and corals. Supplied in 2kg, 5kg, 10kg, 20kg, 30kg, 40kg and 60kg packages (please select) FORMULA FOR CALCULATING REQUIRED SUBSTRATE / GRAVEL PER TANK To work out how much sand or gravel you'll require to achieve a Two Inch (2") Gravel depth in your Fish Tank please use the following formula: 1) Multiply Tank LENGTH by Tank WIDTH (in inches) For example: 47" Inches x 19" Inches = 893 2) Divide the answer by 10. For example: 893 / 10 = 89.3 3) Convert to KG Kilogrammes by dividing answer by 2.2. For example: 89.3 / 2.2 = 40.5 KG REQUIRED GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR 2" SUBSTRATE / GRAVEL DEPTH 60cm / 2ft TANK = 25 kg 80cm / 2.6ft TANK = 30kg 100cm / 3.3ft TANK = 35 kg 120cm / 4ft TANK = 40 kg These are approximates and of course you may want to have a deeper or thinner layer of substrate / gravel.
