Magic The Gathering Magic Card Collection 2000+ Cards!!! Includes Foils, Rares, Uncommons & Possible mythics! MTG Lot L@@K!!

I was looking for a quick collection of affordable cards for my sons (10 and 8) and I to play table top with. This definitely delivered what I was hoping for. Now I just need to get more lands because they're getting a little carried away building decks right now.I found that this is very important when buying bulk used cards online. You need to look at the different sellers that Amazon hosts that sell the same product and go with the highest rating (There were 9 different sellers for this product). Trust me, as someone who has now received both extremes of a similar product, there are dealers that put effort into giving you a usable base of cards from which to work with and there are dealers that just look at you as an opportunity to indiscriminately dump their bulk on you with absolutely zero consideration for you as a customer.After having a bad experience with a different seller on eBay with two 1k UC/C lots (they just dumped a bunch of blue cards on us), I purchased this and went with MTGbiz as the dealer (99% rating). Everything was fantastic! Great color distribution w/ generous artifacts, mutli-colored, and dual land cards as well. R/M wrapped separately. Cards as recent as Bloomburrow. Duplicates were minimal & not egregious. Will buy again (because I have my son's each 1k from this and need some cards for myself now).

BACKGROUND: I bought this as fodder for my kiddos who discovered magic during a recent festival and have fallen hard for the game. I played as a teen/younger adult (but not during their lifetimes, so they'de never seen it before), so I am not toally MTG illiterate. However, this lot was bought for a 9 and 12 year old who are complete beginners.WHAT I GOT: I ordered from MTGBiz and it was exactly what was advertised for the Amazon listing. There were more than 2000 cards in total. Most the cards are from more recent sets with one here and there from the early 2000s. They were mostly common with a decent mix of uncommon thrown in (in the hundreds) and there were 6 foil cards and 5 rare cards. I received no tokens in the lot, I didn't care one way or another- but wanted to mention it if anyone was trying to avoid getting tokens. There are plenty of duplicates, they aren't rediculous amounts in my opinion though. The deckbox price of the cards seem to be 10¢ ~ 30¢. There is not a ton of lands mixed in (though still somewhere in the hundreds), so you couldn't make too many decks from this. All in all, I got a better lot from this than I expected and am more than happy with the purchase.WHAT I'M DOING WITH IT: I am using it to make booster packs for my kiddos stockings for Christmas using team bags and printed paper sleeves the cards will be wrapped in to make them opaque. They will each include 15 cards from the same set with one land and at least one uncommon. I put the foils and the rares in sleeves and toploaders that will also be going into stockings for Christmas.The cards that are left over from each set (I'm through the Guilds of Ravnica and the Ravnica Allegiance cards included so far) are being offered up as incentives for doing chores or getting good grades at school (one kiddo is currently getting to choose a card for getting spelling words right on the weekly test, the other one is getting a card for every day they don't need talked to for misbehaving or whatever, and both are getting to pick a card each day they do all their chores.THE SHORT OF IT: From my view this and the result I'm getting from it was a total steal at 1¢ - 2¢ a card!

Let me start off by saying that I did not have high expectations when I purchased this lot. And yet, I was extremely disappointed.The description says you can receive 4-6 duplicates of a card. I knew full well to expect more than that, but I was not prepared for what I received. I've read reviews on many of the "lots" for sale and have been skeptical. This one received good reviews so I decided to give it a shot. For around $40 dollars I figured how bad can it be if you're receiving 2,000+ cards. Well if I had the opportunity to do it over again I would hesitate before I spent $5 on this. Why? I listed only 16 cards yet that made up 1,200 of the cards I received!!! The list continues with a ton of cards that I received 20's, 30's and 40's of duplicates.Again, I had low expectations and knew I would receive duplicates, but this is ridiculous. PLEASE save your money. This is definitely not worth it.
