Bought this twice. 1st time it was undeliverable. The 2nd time it came & the box was so damaged and the gate was bent. Leaves a bad taste.

This fit perfect in our 2020 f250. Just what we needed to replace the original one that was crushed by our 5th wheel. Looks great too.

The main part of the tailgate seems fairly well made but it's not designed to hold much weight so don't plan on standing on it. The side trim covers are cheaply made and the hardware to attach them is not very well designed. Mine came with a small plastic latch guide broken. I spoke with customer service and they sent me several replacements and implied that it was a common issue. The packaging could be better. Mine had several scratches.

Looks great for the price. Had my F-250 tailgate stolen and this was the perfect replacement at a fraction of the cost.

The cost of the item is worth what you buying. It's not worth what the manufacturer's suggested retail price is though. It's mostly "composite" (plastic) and is clearly marked not to stand on it nor put more than 100 lbs. on it as the lanyards will not support the weight.Amazon is the least expensive of the vendors I found for this tailgate. The tailgate arrived before the promised date, it was packed well, it was easy to put together and install. I did experience some amount of difficulty disconnecting and pulling the wires out of the chassis when removing the factory tailgate. This took an extra half hour due to the cluster of connections and wiring underneath the vehicle and trying to snake the four bundles of wire and connectors through the maze.The reason I'm rating this as two stars has nothing to do with Amazon nor their vendor who shipped it. It has everything to do with Stromberg Carlson, the manufacturer. I had emailed them ahead of purchasing this item to see if they had an updated version since their website shows nothing available for vehicles manufactured after 2019. They quickly emailed back and said they would only guarantee it to fit 2017 to 2019 Superduties and nothing more current. They also told me that I could buy one and try to see if it would fit but it would be non-returnable and they would refuse any kind of warranty on it. Their exact response was -"We can not recommend any of our tailgates for a newer 2022 model truck. We have only tested them for the older versions up to 2019. With that said you can try the newer model but there is no guarantee it will work and the warranty is voided. Customers have tried it and it had worked out so it is up to you if you would like to take that risk. Thank you and have a great day."I checked with a local aftermarket installer and they assured me that Ford has not changed the truck bed since 2017, that the 2022 is essentially the same bed that's on a 2017, and they have successfully installed this very tailgate on Superduties newer than 2019 model year. Thus, my issue with the manufacturer is they know this will fit Superduties newer than 2019 but they refuse to say that or sell it for that purpose. They will void any warranty if it is installed on a vehicle newer than the 2019 model year. They are also clear on their website that they will no longer make Ford tailgates after the 2019 model year.That said, this tailgate fits my 2022 F-250 Superduty and works just fine. The only thing I will be missing is the back-up and hitch cameras that were in the factory tailgate.

Quality product at a reasonable price. Installation was very easy.

I need to return this item . The shipping quote is $250.00 which I can not afford.

It was hard to fit the truck. One latch had to be modified for it to latch.
