Hilarious and Dumb
I bought this thing because I did something dumb. I installed CPU air cooler in my PC that was too tall for the case. Had to cut a hole in it. So, like some kid that's installed an outsized carburetor in his hotrod, I cut a hole in the hood, and this beauty went over said hole. Dumb, but cool. Almost perfect.

I Am Scoop'n Now
Hi everyone. Thank you for taking time to read. So the previous reviewers that said it was smaller then the photo. I want to point out it is not the photo of several cars, those photos are accurate. The photo showing a close up of a black hood with a scoop, the scoop model is different on that car, it is wider. However, if you have a hood like mine that isn't flat all the way across, and you are working with a small area. This scoop is for you. If you are looking to buy one for the reason of decoration, I would suggest like others have to use a strong adhesive tape. I added more 3M to the front of the scoop to hold it down more since there was room to do so. Also, I had recently replaced my radiator fan, and wanted a functional scoop on a budget. This scoop fit the bill. If you review my photos, you will see I used bumper retainer clips to hold down the front. I had to research on how to safely drill plastic without damaging it. I used a wood block to support the plastic when the drill made it thru. It worked perfect, didnt crack or chip. I drilled two holes in my hood to hold the scoop plus the tape provided and some of my own. To make the holes right, I did my measurements, taped around the scoop for an outline. Then used a long piece of paper on the bottom of the front to line up the holes to drill the hood. Placed the paper on the bottom of the scoop, used a pen to poke the holes thru the paper, then used the paper to drill the holes. I did use the paper to mark the holes on the hood, and double checked to make sure it was straight as possible. To make it a functional scoop, I drilled two holes (larger then a 1 dollar coin) in the hood so it would be under the scoop on each side but in the middle of it. I know thats not much compared to an actual scoop, however again this scoop is small. I didnt damage the support parts of my hood underneath so the integrity stayed in tact. It will help with more airflow to the engine area which is what I was wanting over all along with a sporty appearance. I got the idea from a video on youtube which a guy install 25$ vents with a rivet gun. The bumper clips is what I used to determine the size of the holes I needed to hold it down. I made sure once I pressed them down in, they would not come out without a fight. I figured if it needed to come out that means it needs replaced. Well thanks for your time, have a great day, and hope this review was beneficial.

Nice, but some of the image are misleading, check the specs.
This hood scoop was really easy to install and I think it looks really nice. Matches the Carbon Fiber(ish) door handle covers I installed as well and definitely gives my 2013 XV Crosstrek a more unique look.
