Compact and potentially very useful

Two of these, folded and stacked, measure 7"x11" x 2"--easily stowable under a car seat. Probably they don't work as well as the full sized traction boards, but you have to be a dedicated off-roader with plenty of roof rack space to carry those. I judge that these would be plenty sturdy enough and work well, on snow. It might take a little more patience than using big boards would, as these are only 21.5" long, unfolded. On rocky uneven surfaces, they might be more likely to break--but in some cases they might even be better than full sized boards, as they will conform more closely to the contours, and won't have a rigid span of more than 11".

Great alternative to using boards or rugs

Not just for snow! If you use a 4x4 on the beach, these will allow you to get free if stuck in the sand! Sure beats driving around with lumber!

Worked surprisingly well

Last winter, we had a moderate snowfall, maybe 4-6 inches. We had shoveled our driveway down to the street, but a snow plow passing by left a bunch of snow at the end of the driveway. My wife pulled out of the garage, down the driveway, and immediately got stuck in this snow pile. I tried shoveling snow out of the way. Tried cat litter. Tried ice melt. It was just stuck. It was after this that I remembered I'd bought a pair of these for my old Mustang GT after it got stuck in a parking lot once. I dug them out and slipped them under the car's wheels. It pulled away almost immediately, kind of like magic.I now have one for each of our cars and keep it in the trunk. For the price, I would recommend anyone thinking about it just go ahead and buy it. I don't think you'll be sorry. My only complaint is that once you've used it, it's covered with snow, ice, and dirt. This will eventually melt and need to go somewhere. It would have been nice it this came with a waterproof case you could slip it into when you're not using it, to keep your trunk, floorboards, etc., from getting wet and gunked up.

Gobbledygook instructions, but it looks like it might work if the mud is not too deep

Some of the instructions are English gobbledygook translated from Chinese: "When using, make the short edges boards department towards the direction of the rolling wheels in to the place." It looks like I'll need to use stakes to hold the Escaper in place under the tire: "When using, clamping the product between the tire and the ground." Anyhow, if my light weight 2007 Honda Fit gets stuck in a little mud, I'll give it a try. If the mud is not too deep, I think the Escaper might work.

Exactly as described

Work great. Bought 3. I put it in a heavy duty garbage bag, as are messy after use and will get mud all in your trunk. Heavy duty

Too small to be functional

Bought for winter weather and these did not assist with a stuck car. Too short to function, more of a TJ Maxx gift section version tgan actual auto supply. Pay up for the real deal

Feels solid and strong

We were supposed to go to Pismo beach (California) to ride our UTV last week, but changed our plan last minute. The last time we went there we got stock in the sand so I promised my family the next time we will go there, I’ll. Ring the right tools/accessoriesIt feels very powerful and durableLuckily we didn’t have to try it yet. But I’ll update soon if have any issues.Really awesome product

and they worked great. A neighbor's car got stuck on the hill ...

We bought these last winter but didn't need to use them then. They were needed a couple of days ago, and they worked great.A neighbor's car got stuck on the hill trying to turn into a driveway. Someone tried to tow the vehicle but couldn't get traction. Then I brought these out, and we placed them right in front of the front tires. With a few of us pushing the vehicle, the tires got traction and the car was able to get into the driveway. We had a pair that were similar to these a few years ago but gray and shorter. They worked too, but they suddenly disappeared after we helped another neighbor who was stuck. I decided then that the next set (these ones) needed to be a bright color so that I could keep an eye on them better. They can't get lost in the snow, and people can't walk away with them as easily.I also like that they're foldable. That makes it easier to store them in the back of the car in the winter.
