Can this box be locked?

No, it can’t be locked. It is a swing latch and hook hasp.

How many envelopes does it hold?

Here is my suggestion: for popular 5x7"/ 6x8" cards, no problem for this box to hold up to 150 pcs. If you want a larger one, please contact us to custom made one.

Is this more of a gold or brass color?

It is made of brass. The color is more close to gold, as he photos show.
