worked like a charm
I drove all over town to find one of these but none of the pluming supply stores had one in stock. I came home and found this one on Amazon and had it the next morning. This solved my leak problem.

Needed for bottom fed water heaters
Simple screw in installation once you have your line teed. Allows air to enter to ensure water doesn't leave the tank and so far appears to do it's job. I bought a spare to keep around as I feel it's one of those things that may decide to go bad at some point and it doesn't appear you can buy this at any of the box or hardware stores around me

exactly what we needed
We had a plumber out for an estimate to change out this valve and he wanted $800 to change the valve.We located the valve on Amazon for about $30 and we installed it.It is working great.Thank you
