This sconce is a perfect example of high quality workmanship and style. Of course, it's a Mission/Craftsman style, which is very attractive in many settings. The build quality is excellent. The metal base is very heavy, and is finished beautifully. The glass insert is also well made, and it's very thick glass, with a nice, subtle finish, making the lighting glow through it. I already had well secured electrical boxes fitted onto the walls, so this installation was a breeze. The supplied crossbar attaches firmly to the box (mine are metal boxes), then the fixture slips onto the threaded insert.It's got a nice bronze finished cap to secure it to the electrical box. Wiring is a snap, though you'll need a second pair of hands to hold the unit near the box (the unit is heavy...no compromising the quality on this unit, that's for sure). It can take a 100 watt incandescent, but I used an LED equivalent (soft white) and the glow it emits is beautiful. The light shines through, and also up and down from the open ends.This is a great sconce and I highly recommend it.

This is a nice light that is made out of metal. It looks good and really accents my paint in the man cave. I installed it at the top of the stairs going down to the basement. It looks great going down the stairs however you can see the "insides" through the bottom when going up the stairs. I wish they sold a black "bottom" piece that I could use to close up that space so you can see the bulb holder or the wires. Other than that I installed a 60W equivalent LED in it and it works fine. The cost seems reasonable for the quality of the light.

Hanging height needs to be considered because the bottom is open and the inside light can be seen.

We have an atrium living room with an adjoining walk way at one end that connects the great room to the foyer and master bedroom. We purchased two of these sconces to go on each of the wall along that walkway, which is fully open to the living room. As such, they serve as an accent to the living room as a whole and the rustic decor in that room. I was concerned that the glass might look "cheap", but it doesn't. The fixture is well made and the glass is heavy. The outside edge of the fixture behind the glass presents an attractive "hammered" look along the edge, and the fixture overall is projected off the wall by a rear border that is indented from that edge. It presents a very attractive appearance if you are seeking a rustic look.I gave it four stars because it does look like a reproduction and does not really look like it is an "authentic" fixture.

This light is very well made. Solid backing plate, although easy wiring access. It's heavy as in not cheap, but well made as I stated. The back is metal not plastic. Looks great in our hallway. Would buy from them again.

I purchased 7 of these for my living room and stairway. All of them arrived with no issues. They are very well built and provide plenty of light for the spaces. I have them on a dimmer switch and they work perfectly.

Great looking fixtures. Just bought my second pair for a renovation project. The first pair remained in our former house when we sold it. Had to get the same lights for our new house.
