Perfect For My Small Kitchen
Perfect for my small kitchen. I assembled it by myself on about 30 minutes. Sturdy and well made.

Worth every penny!
I read a few negative reviews, but I also knew that Boos is a great company. I ordered it anyway. I have to say that I couldn't be happier.First, I'll say that the packaging issue looks to have been corrected. My table was securely packaged with absolutely zero damage to the box or the contents. Also, I saw some reviews that mentioned some chip-out and/or filler in the top. Mine DOES have a little of that, but it's on the underside of the top. Having some knowledge of woodworking and panels, it's customary to have an "A" side and a "B" side. They seem to have done a great job in arranging the offcut pieces before the glue-up so that the "A" side is perfect. And yes, as stated in a previous review, this has no affect on the performance or durability of the table. You need to remember that this was made for commercial kitchens, not household furniture.Assembly was easy. That said, I have plenty of tools in the garage. You will need a socket set at minimum. I used an impact driver, myself. Don't tighten any screw in the bracket until you have all four started. If you do this they will line up just fine. With patience, one person can assemble this by their self, but two people will make it easier to install the bottom shelf.Lastly, the table does not have a finish on it. You will need to take the time to properly oil and wax the top before you can use it. This takes a few days. Buy the Boos oil and plan on using a lot. Apply it liberally, let it sit overnight, then repeat for a total of three nights. (Mine was thirsty and absorbed nearly a quart.) After that, you need to apply the cream wax and let it sit overnight. I had to wax mine twice. It was worth the effort, though. Mineral oil will work fine, but I like the fact that the Boos oil contains carnauba. I know that carnauba dries harder than most waxes, so it seems reasonable to assume that this will harden the wood a little more after it's been absorbed into the grain.Bottom line, this is a beautifully made, commercial-grade table that I'm sure will outlast me. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is considering this purchase. I'm very pleased.

This is my second one!
I knew I wanted one of these when I worked in a restaurant for several years. I bought the first when my house was new, now several years later. I finally got my second one.

not as high of quality as past Boos purchase
This is a kitchen prep table, maple top that has areas which were not sanded as fine as others. Not sure how it made it through a quality control inspection. Too bulky to return so I plan to give it a light sanding and then treat the top.

Poor quality control spoils a good table
This is a very sturdy table, and it looks good. However, there are three quality control and design issues that make it a poor purchase. The photograph shows one of the leg height adjusters that arrived broken because the aluminum casting is faulty. Using an aluminum part for an adjuster that takes the full weight of the table may be a design issue anyway. The legs are sturdy and very similar to 1 5/8 inch fence posts. They may not be suited to interior use because a black residue on the surface continues to be produced after several cleanings. The leg diameter seems too small for the top brackets, which have an I.D. of about 1 3/4".Two of the blocks that make up the butcher-block composite have splintering faults in the upper, work, surface that may need routing out and filled. A good product spoiled!UPDATE. Boos sent me a replacement kit of 4 very sturdy and handsome adjustable feet. I have, therefore added two stars to the overall rating.

Nice, but a few issues...
Overall, this is a good looking, sturdy table that will give us some extra storage for large items, and an open prep area in a kitchen with limited counter space. Some issues...1.) Underside of the block is rough, with a large area of visible glue, and generally crappy. It’s unseen, so no big deal.2.) Approximately 12” length on the topside has chips along one strip of the block wood.3.) Boos burned in stamp is off, and half missing. Again, not a huge deal, but really, how hard is that to get right!4.) The biggest issue. The holes where you put 1” lags through the leg mounts, and into the underside of the table do not line up. I had to take the mounts, and open up the holes to 7/16” to allow clearance for the lags to go in straight. All 4 needed done. The good...It DOES look good! The lower shelf is holding a ninja foodi, two 7 quart, and one 13 quart French ovens without issue. Sturdy! If not for the out of spec holes, easy enough to assemble. 45-60 minutes if you’re handy. Took me about an hour, with 15 minutes opening up the holes. I also cut 4 blocks (2’x 4’s) to rest the shelf on at the level I wanted while I tightened the set screws. So, it’s OK enough, and heavy enough, I’m not packing it up for an exchange for what would likely be another unit with similar issues. The hole alignment isn’t a big deal if you have a press to open the holes up. This would be a PIA if you have to use a cordless drill. Also, need to clamp mounts down on a press, or cordless drill, or they’ll spin.

old?
we love the product, but i fear it has been sitting in a warehouse for too long. the wood is very dry. that said, this is a large, heavy piece so we are keeping it. using the boos oil and cream to try to rehydrate and protect it. … putting on the shelf was a nightmare. we could use a second shelf but the thought of having to put it on and also adjust the current shelf is keeping me from making the purchase.

Great table overall.
This table is a beast, but definitely gets the job done. It is sturdy, and has been a good extra space for cooking and baking. The maple table top is beautiful and very heavy. The metal shelf seems flimsy, but has still held up well, and holds much more weight than I thought it would. My only negative, and why I don't give it 5 stars, is that the maple top was very rough and could have used some sanding and smoothing.
