This seat appears both well-designed and well-built. We've only had it installed for month or so, but so far, we couldn't be happier with it, think it is worth every penny and wish we had installed it sooner. The only caveat, which has very little to do with the seat itself, is that making absolutely certain one is driving the installation screws into solid structural elements is critical to installing it safely. In some older showers, such as ours, it can be pretty hard to locate studs or other suitable mounting structures behind both tile and sheetrock, so care and patience can be required to be absolutely certain the installation screws are going into structurally capable material.

Excellent Product! Of all the shower seats I researched this was the best looking and the sturdiest. We removed the ugly tub & tile & installed a shower base with Wilsonart Marble Wet Wall It looks very rich in our new shower and the Teak still looks like new! Make sure you have studs in the wall for support, I ran vertical and horizontal ( while replacing the wallboard) to fasten to, there is a lot of weight being exerted at the connection points, just make sure you use good anchors and higher grade of stainless screws if you don't have studs that line up.We liked it so much we bought one for the second bathroom!

The quality of this shower seat is the best from sturdy hinges to handsome metal and wood finishes. Had to hire a professional to install. Looks beautiful and functions well.

The media could not be loaded. I read lots and lots of reviews on lots of shower chairs before choosing this one. It had the best reviews and I support them all! It is a beautiful oil rubbed bronze look, I've had it for 6 months and no issues with the finish. I was going to seal the wood but I never got around to it. Now I'm actually glad I didn't. When it's dry it matches my wood look tile wonderfully! When it's wet it has a beautiful Rich color that I enjoy while I'm in the shower. I have a picture where I wet the top slot so you can see the difference between when it's wet and when it's dry.Folds out easily and folds up with no problem. Does not slip and try to fall down.My only issue is when I first sit down on it the very top slat moves some. It freaked me out the first time it happened, but now I'm used to it and I may do something to try to secure it. Not enough of an issue though to knock a star off.Gives me lots of extra room in the shower but still a place to sit when I want or need it. Highly highly highly recommend!

Perfect for one who needs a seat in the shower. Hold my husbands 250 pounds well. Fold up to wall is nice space saving.
