Love this chair!Delivered boxes right into our house/living room. One of the boxes was a bit worse for wear. He helped unbox it to make sure there was no damage. Nicest driver!We unpacked the boxes, plugged 2 plugs together! Slid back rests on! Then right n left pieces to back slid those right on. Slid into place, plugged in and then sat and reclined and rest! Hubs is in his 70s and we had no problems putting these together. All you need is scissors or knife to carefully cut the boxes open and the cut the power cord that is zip tied to the chair for packing. Can’t get much easier.Now these chairs seem to be very well made. They sit very firm right now. I imagine the cushions will mold to us like our other recliners did over time. The top stitching is tight and well done. I am 5’7 and sturdy built and there is plenty of room in these chairs. My 4 year old grandson can snuggle/sit with me in the chair. They don’t rock. I love the foot/leg rest that it is fully covered no gaps to get dog or kid legs stuck. Love the USB port no more extension cord for that! The chair does have adjustable headrest handy if you want to lay flat but still want to gaze at the tv. The recliner extends and retracts fairly quickly. I am up and down in my recliner during the day fairly frequently. Will be interesting how long the mechanism lasts.There is no plastic or weird aroma to them. No overly leather aroma either.Now for color it is what I call a dark brown mocha but not black. Looks fine with my 20 year old lazy boy sofa and club chair that is a darker chestnut color.I think these chairs are great for the money. We looked at them at our local Ashley store. I wanted to do the shop local thing and even if it was a bit more money. Our local Ashley want $600 more which included their awful delivery charges. I understand they put the chairs together but really save the MONEY! I wasn’t going to shop local for that difference.

Not a high quality leather and fake leather on non-seat areas. Don’t buy if you have smaller kids…the recliner buttons are fun but when the seat is extended a gap forms between the back and seat. Otherwise it’s comfy and great for movie night. We got it over halve off what Ashley furniture sells it for and free shipping so great value for the money.

I was skeptic on buying furniture on Amazon, especially a piece as large as a full sofa, and we were excited to see if it would be successful and it was! The delivery notifications were timely and on the actual day was even early. The driver (1 guy) brought the sofa box to back of the house and put it in the the living room. It was easy to put together, only had to put the backs on which my 20 year old daughter did herself. The Material is very nice - looks rich and soft. The seat it a little firm to me but everyone else likes it. We were very happy with the whole experience and will not hesitate to order furniture from Amazon again.

1 year and 5 months I’ve had this chair. I’ll start off with the only pro. The leather seems to hold up, no fading or problems what so ever. Quality on the other had is horrible, it’s assembled with partial board very slow to recline and retract. The metal movement brackets always pop and sound funny but I was assured that wasn’t an issue. Well 1 year and 5 months later a metal piece literally broke in the center of the metal. The metal is very low and thin quality. The seating started to sag after just a few months. I’m not a big person at all and I’m not hard or abussive on any piece of furniture. This is low quality at a high cost.

Delivery experience: Delivery took eight days. A delivery day was given at the time of ordering, with a time window of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. A day or two before delivery, the delivery time estimate was shortened to between 9 a.m. and noon. Delivery was via XPO Logistics. The sofa arrived on time during the scheduled delivery window. I paid for "room of choice" delivery; two delivery workers unboxed the sofa outside, brought it upstairs, and removed the packing materials.Quality issues: The sofa arrived with a defective headrest motor such that the headrest feature is non-operational on one side. There is also an odd triangle (pictured) in the leather on one of the seat backs.Construction: OSB and staple construction (pictured). Made in Vietnam. The sofa is leather match, leather in the seating and armrest areas and vinyl on the sides and back. There is a textural difference between the materials, with the vinyl smoother than the leather (pictured).Warranty issues: I called the customer service warranty number for Ashley Furniture regarding the non-operational headrest motor. Ashley directed me to call Amazon and provided a phone number. I called Amazon and a new sofa was scheduled for delivery along with removal of the current sofa. I made the calls on the day of delivery; I am not sure how manufacturer warranty issues would be resolved once the sofa is outside of Amazon's return date or when Amazon would not have replacement sofas in stock. I am speculating that Amazon does not employ service technicians, or at least not in my area, as replacing a $50 (retail) headrest motor was not discussed as an option, only replacing the sofa in its entirety.The replacement sofa is scheduled to arrive eight days from making the phone call, one week from today. I plan to update regarding the exchange process.Comfort: I had tried the sofa in two Ashley Furniture showrooms. The comfort was as expected and consistent across the display models and the delivered one. I find it to be a firm-sitting leather sofa, easy to get in and out of. There are seams running side-to-side across the seats that may be irritating to someone wearing shorts. The reclining mechanisms operate smoothly.Appearance note: The seams running side-to-side across the seat are not aligned with the seams running side-to-side across the armrests. This is visible in the manufacturer side-view photo, if you look for it, and was consistent among the display models and the delivered models.------------Update: While Amazon would have replaced the sofa with the defective motor, I changed my mind and returned the defective one without getting a replacement. In addition to concerns about quality and longevity, the comfort was an issue as well. The firmness reminded me of a restaurant booth seat, which could be great for some uses, but it wasn't what I needed.The return process went smoothly. I received a 4-hr window for pickup, and drivers arrived during that window. I had the couch ready to transport, and the drivers carried it downstairs and into a truck. A refund was issued two weeks later. The entire process from initial order to delivery, replacement order, replacement order cancellation, return initiation, pick-up, and refund receipt took one month.

I am glad to have purchased this. At the time of purchase the item was in STOCK. However, it took almost 3 plus months to deliver the sofa with the help of 2 delivery guys plus myself and not to mention the tip I gave the 2 delivery men. They were great at bringing the couch 2 floors up, ended up with a scratch, taking a piece off the couch. But it was an easy fix. Is is quiet heavy so make sure of your delivery options as well as where you live, ie apartment vs a house.(I am editing this post as I found out this was a manufacturer defect product. A piece of plywood frame at the back looks to be already fractured and fixed with staples and sold as a new product. Now I am unable to use the RIGHT side of the loveseat. So disappointed because this is a manufacturer direct product. Also, there is no need for staples on a feet long and half inch wide plywood. There must have been a defect and simply stapled it together instead of replacing a 5$ worth plywood. Definitely I got frauded)
