This book is continuing to help me fill in the gaps. It seems learning and relearning are never ending story.

I started with the Fretboard book and was hooked from there! Now I have ordered all of them and it has completely changed everything! In just one month I have gone from 3 chord wonder to learning new riffs everyday and working up and down the fretboard with scales. These books have changed my life and made my winter go by so quickly. Thank you !!

Best book on scales I have read so far. It has the construction formula for each scale, the notes and some licks to hear the sound of each scale. This is the first book that gave me a couple of tips to help me remember each scale quickly. I won't say the tips here because this book is so well written that the author deserves your business and get this book sold. You won't regret the purchase. everyone will get some benefit from this book. Highly recommended.

This used book was if fair condition at best. But it's usable.

I just like this series bought all the books even though some were offered free,also like the additional free content. The humor flavored facts are right on the spot. Chuckling keeps this from being dry reading even if it’s sometimes corny cause I am too,I have been playing for 50 years (by ear only) I am improving my style exponentially using these materials. Nice style and a FB group if you’re into that

An informative publication but lacking in some respects. If you do not know how to convert a scale from the key of C to different keys then the book may be frustrating for you. Hardly what I would call a “bible.” I understand why all the scales are written in C but... If you’d like a book that doesn’t require you to convert scales to different keys then I’d recommend the guitar grimoire on scales and modes. For a few extra dollars a much better book in my opinion. There are some great online resources as well that do a better job of explaining intervals and scales in a given key without mentioning over and over again that “you’ll need another book for that...” Also, the book was written so the root notes in the scale (always C in this case) would be colored but whoever printed the book only printed in black and white... Overall, there are better resources, free or not, that will be more informative and a better quick reference as opposed to what you’re getting in this book.

I'm the typical "learned on my own" guitarist, who plays in flashes. I may be playing for months, but then become bored - because I don't know what I'm doing. This, and other books by the author, have given me something to work with - other than just learning how to play specific songs off of YouTube.

It lays out all the various scales and patterns. I may be too old to get them all memorized, but it is a great reference for an amateur guitarist/

Good reference material.

Excelente obra bibliográfica para aprender escalas desde cero. Su utilización simultánea de partituras y de diagramas del diapasón de la guitarra permite una comprensión más exhaustiva de las escalas. Y deja muy en claro el papel de éstas en el desarrollo de este instrumento: constituyen la base de toda la música, tanto moderna como antigua.

Absolutely fabulous book. Just when you think that scales are boring and mind numbing, this book will change all that. Its a very detailed, described book which is down to earth so easy to read. There is also licks in there to help you get a better understanding of what scales are and do. Perfect partner to any guitarist beginner or pro, who'd like to get ahead on soloing.

Literally the bible beside my bed. Guitar head has a nice funny easy going way of getting you to learn the scales....notes....ways of playing. I highly recommend these books. Ive bought a lot lol. Another great one is soloing techniques....must buy! I do recommend buying the 3 books the scales bible. First is memorizing the fret board. 2nd is scales for beginner's and then this scale book. I memorized the fret board in 20 minutes. Very easy with the methods shown....and when you read a book instead of watching a video.....it stays with you better. You won't be disappointed
