Better than expected product, came with tool for assembly, very solid item in all respects!

I am very pleased with this purchase! I think it is a great product for the price. The assembly was not bad at all and it actually helped me to get the box-spring upstairs and in the bedroom where I am using it. I live alone mostly (two grown daughters), so I was able to take the pieces upstairs, assemble the box-spring right beside the bed and easily move it into place once it was assembled. If I had bought a manufactured box-spring, I would not have been able to handle this task by myself and I probably would have had to pay for shipping.

I normally don't write reviews but I felt this product was very deserving of an excellent review. It's hard to find a box spring with wood slates which make a huge difference in the comfort of your sleep each night. I got this one on sale but I would pay regular price for this if I ever needed to purchase another one. The box springs made from just the metal are the worst in my opinion.

Decent box spring. We really liked that the construction method allowed us to store some boxes and whatnot we were saving in the spring before putting the slats on. The corners where the different pieces meet aren't quite flush which is annoying but doesn't affect functionality, and some of the holes where things screwed together were slightly misaligned, which made the assembly more difficult.

We were looking for a bed platform like the ones in hotels that are solid to the floor -- to prevent our cat from going under the bed. We couldn't find any, so we purchased this box springs to use as a base. We assembled this product and placed it directly on the floor. Then we placed our regular box springs on top of it, followed by the mattress on top. No more kitty under the bed! We were initially a little concerned that the regular box springs might shift and not stay centered on the solid-sided box springs below it, but we've used it for several days now, and that hasn't been a problem. (I still check it every day when I make the bed, though, just to be sure.) If you decide to purchase this product for a similar purpose, be sure to get the 7" or 9" height so your mattress will still be high enough. If you have a queen size bed, you might be able to purchase this product in the full size to act as a base for your regular queen box springs -- then your regular queen box springs would hang over 3 or 3-1/2" inches on each of the 4 sides. This would prevent your toes from bumping against the base when you get close to the bed. (I'm not sure if this would provide better protection against potential shifting or not.) We used a bed skirt before purchasing this product, and we still have to use it now -- otherwise the sides of our regular box springs would still be partly visible.

The box spring was incredibly easy to put together and they even supplied a little ratchet tool to go with it. Once put together I easily put it in on my bed and it is sturdy and helped raise my platform bed up. Extremely satisfied with this great addition to my bedroom.

Easy to assemble, all parts in great working condition, now my cats won't run me over in my sleep :P 9 extra inches off the floor.
