Was a little apprehensive about ordering this lamp because of some of the negative reviews. I know it is possible with anything man made to get a defective item, but the lamp I received was perfect. The alignment was straight and the shade beautiful (it's gold in color with a slight iridescence and a white silk-look liner). It is very easy to assemble (took less than 10 minutes to unpack and assemble). The cord runs through all pieces and they are packed in styrofoam to make a smaller box. There are three sections: one with the bulb base, the pole with the openwork decoration, and the base. You just screw the sections together, pull the cord tight, add the harp to the top and put the shade on. It is a lovely lamp for the price and perfect for what I needed. I have it on a cherry console table in my entry hall, it's tall, gives a lovely soft light and it's exactly what I was looking for. Ordering two more for my dining room buffet.

I'm really happy I decided to trust the reviews, as I'm not usually comfortable buying furniture online. This lamp looks far more expensive than it was. The scalloped shade has a beautiful soft gold glow when the light is on, and appears more cream when it is off. The light switch is at the top, which was important to me because I'm using it next to my couch and don't want to have to get up to use a foot switch. The scroll work is clean and detailed, and the lamp as a whole looks and feels sturdy.I was so bored by all the floor lamps that seemed to have nearly identical bland designs. This lamp is decorative and classic without being garish.Took me 5 minutes to assemble it by myself.

This lamp was extremely well packaged and arrived in Canada in excellent condition. Assembly was pretty easy and the lamp stands straight with no lean. The only little hiccup was that the part the finial screws onto was slightly off center but was easily adjusted with small pliers, so now the lampshade sits perfectly straight. I would describe the colour of the lamp as a warm bronze with gold accents on the lace portion, although golden ruby sounds great too. A lot of light comes through the shade if required, which makes this lamp great for reading or needlework, etc. So very happy with this purchase.

Received my lamp today and as the instructions said, had it assembled and working in around 10 minutes! The lamp is well made, assembled easily, and looks good! The sections are straight, (a problem with another lamp I purchased) and the lamp looks good. Just what I wanted.

Great Floor Lamp...we are very pleased with it and love the dark ruby tones. It is three-way with 150 watt max. Stands 62.75'' tall. The weight was one of the factors in this decision and this is a hefty 19#. Very easy to put together IF you take your time and just don't start ripping and tearing it out of the box. I almost lost it when screwing the socket assembly onto the top rod.....tried to cross thread on me but I carefully backed it out with some needle nose pliers and saved the day. I presume it's aluminum.So, we're very happy with it and with Amazon as well. We live in Oklahoma, and I received an email that it would arrive Nov. 30th....it actually arrived Nov. 29th. Two day shipping.

I bought this two years ago for a room we were redecorating. It hasn't been out of the box until now but stored carefully in a main floor closet. Imagine my disappointment when the top piece won't thread on properly after dozens of attempts. The lamp is crooked and the shade is coming undone at the bottom from just sitting in the box. Too late to return it, so I'll have to swallow the loss. Definitely NOT worth buying. This one was a dud that would have been returned under other circumstances.UPDATE: With the help of a repair guy that worked on the threads, the lamp was finally put together. I use it in the library and adjusted the imperfection in the shade to the back. It looks quite nice there, is sturdy, and gives off sufficient light. I've even gotten compliments on it. It still should have worked out of the box and with greater quality in the shade. I've upgraded to 3 stars.

I’m in love with this lamp! The first one I received was off-center when assembled. I knew it was worth the chance to try again. The second lamp is perfect! Absolutely what I wanted for the entryway. The photo shows it with a 4 watt bulb; but it looks just as beautiful with an led 60 watt. I could not be happier with my purchase.

OMG, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS LAMP! Some of the reviews commented on the color or other minor imperfections. I found absolutely nothing wrong with this lamp. It has a very sturdy, substantial base. It's not exactly as tall as I thought, so measure to make sure this height will work for you. The lamp shade is beautiful. The color of the stand/pole is a deep burgundy, not a bright red. The finial is nice as well as the scroll in the lace iron design. I highly recommend. I'm including a photo of the lamp and think you can see that the colors and style go well with my green/gold paisley sofa. The lamp may look a little unbalanced, but it's the photo!
