Stone Center Online Carrara White Marble 1 inch Hexagon Mosaic Tile Polished Kitchen Bath Wall Floor Backsplash Shower (1 Sheet)

I was nervous about ordering such a large quantity of tile online without seeing the product. The price was much less expensive than what I could find at any of the tile retailers in my city, so I took the risk. After placing my order, Stone Center Online sent a follow up email with a photo showing 9 samples of the packaged tile, so I could see the color variations and send final approval. It arrived in perfect condition - exactly like the photo. It looks beautiful on the floor of my master bath, and I used some for a decorative strip in the shower with my subway tiles. Would definitely order from the Stone Center Online again.

When i received the tile the color variation was what it appeared to be in the pictures and our contractor got to work. After installing the tile and grouting, certain tiles must have retained moisture differently than others, as the variation became extreme and so bad that my mother-in-law asked me "this is the old tile, right?" when we were showing her the renovation progress. Some variation is nice, but this was completely unacceptable to me and we were left having to rip up all the tile and start from scratch. The new tile we selected from Lowes did not have this problem at all.When i contacted the seller they said they would call me Monday, which was 5 days ago. After i filed a claim they said their policy states no refunds post installation. I understand every seller needs policies but i would think after the cost i incurred ripping out the floors and starting again, that they might be willing to work with me. I offered pictures and my contractors number as a reference, but haven't heard anything back. Just wanted to caution anyone else as the $50 we saved versus Home Depot/Lowes wasn't worth it in the end.

Consumer alert: there are at least three (yes three) significantly different products being sold from this page. I know because I just spent weeks getting this sorted out and filing an A to Z guarantee claim, after I was shipped the wrong ones twice. The products being sold here are:1) 15/16" hex tiles with 1/16" grout gaps. whitish khaki color. 12 tiles per row. Shown in product page photos. Sold by Stone Center Online.2) 1 1/8" hex tiles with 1/16" grout gaps. Dim white color. 11 tiles per row. No photos shown on product page. Sold by Oracle Tile and Stone.3) 1 1/8" hex tiles with 1/8" grout gaps. Bright polished white color with gray tones. 10 or 11 tiles per row. Sold by Oracle Tile and Stone.Option 3 looks the best. I ordered a sample first from this page (not knowing there are 3 different products being sold here) and we received Option 3 and loved it. So we ordered much more. But Amazon defaulted to Stone Center Online who sent us option 1 which we had to return at exhorbitant cost and then file a claim to get reimbursed. Then we ordered again this time confirming with Oracle via a phone call that we would get option 3. Unfortunately Oracle sent us option 2. I swear I'm not making this up. Then we had to send that back but Oracle provided us with prepaid shipping (even though they denied their mistake). Finally Oracle sent us Option 3 which looks great. It took weeks though. The tile is smaller in circumference than standard 1"inch tile and thinner than normal. It is nice tile but less of it and not a full 1inch in diameter. You get what you pay for. I wanted gray and white tiles with no additional coloring, and these were perfect. I was nervous about ordering online, but after a phone call to Oracle Tile and Stone, my concerns were eased. The tile looks amazing, and each piece was in great shape upon arrival. Much cheaper than my local stores, and it couldn't have worked out better.

Stone Center Online Carrara Marble one inch hex was not the same as the picture. Slightly different size, and therefore different number of tiles per square foot. I contacted the seller and they replied that although they do apologize, they sell whatever their supplier is currently giving them.

This tile is beautiful and works perfectly for the project I bought it for. I'm re-tiling around my fireplace, and this tile makes it look custom and high-end. The picture I included shows the beginning of my project without grout.

At the time of ordering, a customer service representative contacted me to verify my order and inquire about the need to match the tile to any existing in our home. They were very helpful in ensuring I ordered within the color family I needed.Our contractor installed the mosaic tile flooring today and it looks amazing! We had a similar product in our previous home, but the coloring in this product is noticeably better. Variations in shades of white and gray were well distributed.I also thought it was worth sharing that the contractor said this was the easiest mosaic installation he’s ever done. He explained that typically the spacing and alignment on the mesh backing is less than perfect; however, this product was consistently spaced, making installation easier.
