DEWALT20V MAX XR Cordless Drill/Driver Kit, Brushless, Compact, with 2 Batteries and Charger (DCD800D2)

Just like the rest of my Dewalt tools, it is solidly built and works great. The small-ish size makes it easy to use.This thing gets a lot of use on household projects and never lets me down.

This replaced a Rockwell 20v drill/driver that I really liked. This one works better all the way around. The clutch is far better, smoother with real range. The light is bright enough to really be useful. Plenty of power for most jobs short of using a 1/2 inch plug in drill. I don't think that it would handle a 4 inch hole saw except on low speed but I haven't tested it that hard. The compact form is really nice for getting into tighter spaces and it's not terribly heavy. The batteries last a surprisingly long time, even in cold weather. This is a far better tool than the Rockwell was (no longer available) and worth every penny.

After having used other 'second rate' brands for years and needing to replace them earlier than expected I decided to stop fooling around and get a solid well designed and tested drill. Glad I did, this has power to spare and construction is top notch. If you're on the fence just hit the buy button, you won't regret it.

I have pretty much all dewalt tools at this point and they work great. This drill is no exception. Works exactly as it should has good torque and decent battery life.

Functions as needed, the light is great, charger is slower(gives me reason to upgrade later), indicator on battery is great, two batteries to swap when one dies down, light and compact, rubberized for when you drop it. Might try a 12v just for those finesse jobs(smaller and lighter).
