Great product, slightly challenging to print
Great weatherproof quality, very durable, and print quality comes out very clear. Very professional results are easily achievable WITH ONE CAVEAT -- they like to curl up quickly once removed from the packaging. By "quickly", I mean within 1 to 2 minutes, so you have to print them almost immediately once removed from the packaging. And you have to store them between two flat objects after printing if you're not going to immediately apply them. Otherwise, you will end up with troubles when they go through the printer, and/or they'll be difficult to peel off the label from the backing.I imagine this problem with the curl is because they're polypropylene labels and don't absorb water (which is why you're buying these in the first place, of course), meanwhile the carrier paper is a coated paper which will naturally respond to humidity and heat. So, one expands/contracts while the other doesn't, and you get curl. I don't necessarily fault Avery or the product as I can't imagine another way to avoid the curl problem given the required characteristics of the product itself. I'm just extremely happy to have a durable, waterproof label that I can print on demand at the office.

Do NOT use with inkjet printers!
These are polyester film labels, which is what makes them waterproof. Ink is made to soak into porous paper; in fact inkjet ink is water-based. Think about that a moment - water-based ink, waterPROOF medium. These labels WILL NOT WORK for inkjet printing; you’ll just waste labels and ink and get all kinds of upset when it smudges. For laser printers, if you have a manual feed tray and can open a door on the back of your printer for the finished page to exit - otherwise known as straight-path printing - definitely do this. When the polyester heats up it shrinks ever-so-slightly - about 1 mm for the whole page - and causes the page to curl. The backing paper is pretty thin so if the label sheet has to make any twists or turns on the way out, it will probably get stuck. In fact, if you can’t do straight-path printing, you may want to avoid these altogether and stick to paper labels.I bought these for making front panel graphics for Eurorack synthesizer modules. I use natural aluminum cut to size. These work and look GREAT and are easy to trim around the panel dimensions and potentiometer and jack holes with a super-sharp hobby knife. The labels go to the edges and are borderless, and the backing paper is perforated (coarsely) at the middle of the page. My printer will allow me to print on a half-sheet without complaining, which is a good thing because like another reviewer said, they won’t work well going through a second time. When I tried feeding a label sheet through again, I had serious toner bonding issues - it looked bad and was missing in spots - because the first time through the surface of the label had gotten somewhat hardened and wouldn’t allow the toner to adhere. Normally I only print a half-sheet at a time, which can fit up to eight 4 HP labels easily, more than I build in one go.

Very durable, I use it for outdoor signs and indoor permanent marking
I have labels on pipes indoors that are 5 years old and they hold up great.Commended product. Printer sometimes has difficulty picking up the page. Also, don't run it twice, so print two labels or toss the unused one, or it will not work well. The printer heat is too much to go through twice.

Great for waterproof signs.
Used these to make waterproof signs for a garden tour; worked like a charm through two days of thunderstorms.

Best shipping labels I’ve used
I was buying other cheaper options until recently. I switched to these so that I would have something that holds up better to the elements. These are way better and worth the extra expense. They cover other labels with no bleed through and hold up to light rain much better.I’ve started separating the labels before putting in the printer, this way I can actually get two useable labels from one sheet. If I don’t do that then a receipt usually prints on the Lower half and makes it unusable.

Great labels for shipping!
These labels work great but come two labels per sheet so I have to tear them apart when I want to print one label otherwise the second one is wasted. I love to buy these labels from Amazon.com because I can purchase without paying sales tax and get free shipping! Less time, trouble and expense than driving to my local office products retailer. Wish they were less expensive, but they are worth every penny. Terrific!January 29, 2013Reordered these today, they are fabulous for using online shipping services to pay for postage and print shipping labels. If you do a lot of online shopping and need to return items, these labels are PERFECT!

Nothing too exciting but the do stick to what they are attached to so I guess that makes them a good label.
