AdvantageII Large Cat Vet-Recommended Flea Treatment & Prevention | Cats Over 9 lbs. | 6-Month Supply

I had been buying some of the other high dollar flea and tick medication’s for the cats and dog. It did not take care of the problem. I ended up having to spray my cats with a 50-50 mixture of water and red cider vinegar. I had to Dr my carpets with baking soda Because the fleas had gotten so bad. Not because I hadn’t been trying to do anything about them, but because the other medicines did not work, I was told by the vet that the certain medicines were not working for anybody. He recommended this one. He said it would work and the animals were immune to the others so I’m hopeful. I also spoke to other pet owners and they had the same problems.

I recommend to flea-comb your cat at least twice a day for about a week before applying. This reduces the number of living fleas on your cat, so when you apply the product, you don't have 300 fleas "jumping ship" so to speak. I'd gone over my cat so many times with the flea comb, I was coming up with only 1 or 2 fleas per session. Also, use a flea killing spray for areas like under beds, inside sofas, behind furniture, places fleas like to hide. Vacuum everything that you can.Proper application - First make sure your cat is comfortable with the flea comb. Then part a horizontal strip of hair about 1 inch wide at the back of the neck. While holding the part open, apply the product across this strip of exposed skin. Allow to soak for a couple seconds, then gently cover over with surrounding fur, avoiding contact with the liquid.Repeat every month for at least three months in a row to break the life cycle of the fleas, for an indoor-only cat. If your cat goes in and out of he house, it will continuously pick up fleas from outside, and I'd recommend a flea-combing every time they come back inside, and a monthly treatment with Advantage 2 for Cats. For entirely outdoor cats I recommend a flea collar like Seresto, or a monthly treatment with Advantage 2 for Cats.

Only kind I’ll purchase with my indoor/outdoor cat. There’s a whole community of feral cats close by, but this keeps things under control, and when I messed up and she got fleas….this also fixed that problem

I’ve used advantage for my cats for years but this year fleas are more prevalent and this medication is not working as well as in the past. I’ve experienced no bad reactions on my cats just the fact that it doesn’t seem to be as effective as before. I’ll give it one more month of treatment before considering purchasing another brand.

Summer time is right around the corner and that means more flea and tick activity in my area. Our cat, Princess Cutie Mouth, is an outside cat that has free run of the heated garage. Considering she spends most of her time deep in the wood "on the hunt," we like to take steps to reduce flea and tick issues. Advantage II has been our choice for many years. This product does what it claims to do. Application is fairly easy, but a second set of hands can be very helpful. Overall, this is a brand and product we trust to help keep both out cat's and our own lives bug free.

I have 2 large cats, a black cat named Shadow and his orange son, Chipotle. They need the large advantage because it works. They hate the application, but a nice cat treat afterwards seems to make it more bearable. Bye bye fleas!
