Not Vented So They Will Steam Up on Your Eyes, These Work Great as Headgear Goggles
What's a Steampunk Costume without some wickedly awesome Goggles? The UmbrellaLaboratory Steampunk Goggles feel heavyweight, are exceptionally detailed, and look so visually awesome. The goggles are definitely a pair of goggles you would wear around your head or neck - the eyepieces are made of hard plastic so they won't stay on your face comfortably for long periods of time, and the goggles themselves are not vented so even if you were to wear them for a long time, your eyeballs will cause the lenses to fog after some time. My intention was to wear these goggles on my head, so this wasn't a big issue to me - but I was able to wear them for short periods of time for photos with no ill effect. The goggles also have too magnifying lenses on them that serve nothing more than for decorative purposes. If you're willing to move your head very up close to the item you're looking at, I can honestly say that the magnifying glasses do work. That said, you will need to be at least 4" away from the item you're looking at - but hey, working magnifying glasses! Overall, these are a really fun pair of goggles to complete your steampunk look. They have a nice heft to them, and look really cool. I wore them to work for fun and got a lot of compliments on them!

Great for cosplay!
My 14yr old has been wearing these for a week non stop, they are a big hit with her. She likes to cosplay, and these have been great for that. For our usage, these goggles are sturdy plastic, made well (they are withstanding a lot of usage), fit me, and the purple lenses are a great touch. I was surprised by the quality. I assumed they would be cheaply made and fall apart fast, and I was gladly made wrong.

Awesome. That's all you need to know
Awesome. That's all you need to know! it fits on the BLACK PERMAFELT DERBY HAT that we also purchased for the Steampunk look, as well as being well adjusted on the face. Great with a mustache for either gender... unless you don't want to go there. Magnification is authentic. I can see bigger! Wow. Didn't see that one coming when I ordered it.My son usually abscond and have fun with it until caught. Hey, he needs to ask permission. Just sayin'.New to Steampunk? Me too. It's an essential element to the look. Just get it. Don't even think twice.

Looked great for the wedding!
These goggles look great and went perfect with our costumes which were for a steampunk wedding. Only complaint is that the magnifying lenses can fall off pretty easily and these are not considerable to wear on your head, the goggles do dig in quite a bit and make them uncomfortable. I wore mine on a top hat so this didn't affect me but should definitely be kept in mind.

So Much Cooler Than Expected
They were great for the costume I was putting together. They were well worth the extra money compared to the cheap ones I could have bought, and everyone else can tell the difference too. So many people have asked me where I got these goggles, and yes all the lenses really work. The two smaller ones are working magnifying glasses, and the main lenses of the goggles feel like they are real glass and not just cheap clear plastic. So worth it. If anyone is looking to put together anything remotely steampunk style and can spare the extra $5 or $10 it was to get these they really should. The nose piece was a little wide but my brother was able to fix that easily, and the band is adjustable so it should be able to fit all kinds of heads, or even hat.

Cute, But Cheap Quality
The goggles were lower quality than I expected. The base is actually the same cheap plastic goggles that you can find at a Halloween store for about $5. The movable small lenses were a nice touch, but I'm not sure that they make the goggles worth this much more. While I would have kept these in a pinch, an error through Amazon (not the seller's fault) caused them to show up too late for the convention I attended, so I will be returning them.

Excellent Steampunk/Dieselpunk Costume Goggles!
I needed some goggles that fit the Steampunk look in a hurry for a costume for MisCon (of course I waited until the last possible second to complete my costume, no fun doing it ahead of time ;) ). These fit the bill quite well! They're not really meant for wearing as actual goggles, just for looks and they do a quite good job at that. Body of the goggles and primary lenses are plastic, the smaller focal lenses I believe are also plastic (uncertain). The only metal components are the pipe clamp around the right lense, the small clamp attached to that (to which the post for the focal lenses is attached), frames for the focal lenses, and lastly; the small metal ball chain that links the two primary lenses together (this is covered by a piece of what appears to be wire sheathing for aesthetic purposes. The strap is adjustable and can be adjusted to fit quite well if you choose to wear them on your face like real goggles, however, they are not very comfortable this way so I would not recommend doing so. They can be adjusted to fit almost any size head or hat snugly and stay in place quite well for most hats (I used them with a pith helmet so I did have to pin the straps in a couple spots to keep them from sliding up the slightly sloped surface but that is a rather unusual piece of headgear to use them with). Not something you want to wear for safety, dust, or other purposes; if you want real goggles you'll need to pay for real goggles. But, if you want something to complete a Steampunk or Dieselpunk costume without breaking the budget, these will fit the bill nicely! See attached photo for my usage of them.

psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00) The goggles are very good quality, much nicer than expected and designed so
My grandson used these goggles as part of a cosplay outfit and wore it along with a SteamPunk Top Hat also purchased here on Amazon. (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TOWUXF2?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00) The goggles are very good quality, much nicer than expected and designed so that the extra lens on the front can be removed if desired, so you get the benefit of a couple of different "looks". I thought the price was quite good and they were delivered very promptly. These goggles come in different finishes and lens colors and I appreciated having options!
