I bought this to use on my cast iron pan. I assumed (my fault) that it could be used while cooking (not just to move a pan) and within seconds it was on fire. I had to throw it in the sink and spray with water to put it out. The handle was even turned over the countertop when it caught fire. I’m so glad I was standing beside the stove when it happened. Scary! Be careful if you buy this.

The white tag which indicates the origin of materials is on the inside of the mitt - and it melts when it contacts a hot skillet handle. What makes things worse is that it leaves a sticky goo on the handle which is difficult to clean off.I suppose this could be alleviated by cutting the tag off, but it is positioned in such a manner that it would be a challenge to cut it off in its entirety without cutting into the mitt itself.You get what you pay for, I guess.

I was excited when I received them however, when I tried using them they burned and melted . Left a nasty residue on my handle . One caught fire quickly. These should not be sold and labeled as they are . They have zero heat resistance . I threw mine out after dousing with water of course .

I had no luck finding these handle mitts in department stores. I thought I was going to have to crochet my own or somehow fold and stitch a regular pot holder to put over the handle of my frying pan. I'm so glad I checked Amazon. These are perfect to remove a long handled pan from the oven when you are cooking or baking in cast iron. The advantage is after you have used it to remove the pan, you can leave it on the handle so you don't accidentally touch it.

Those are a must for cast iron pans. The silicone handles that I have used ship a little bit and it's not good when you are carrying a heavy pan that is really hot. These are inexpensive and work well. As with any cloth material used for a hot pad, don't get them well when using them because they will pass the heat through the water right to your hands.

This handle is thick enough to keep your hands safe from the heat and super cute! No, it's not flame retardant, but if you keep the fire down at a reasonable level then it won't touch/reach the holder. I would definitely buy again if they make it in other colors!

This was a gift and she loved it. Used it right away while cooking Christmas dinner so I'd say it was a hit. She was thrilled to get it because she couldn't find one anywhere and really wanted one. Can't speak to how it's holding up but it seemed like pretty good quality when it arrived to me.

Nothing makes me more upset than buying a product that does not work. I had to drop a pan bring it out of the oven because my fingers were burning! These are not heat resistant to very hot pans!!! Pretty but not useful!!!! Do not buy!!!! I had to throw them out !!!

Love this style of oven mit. Hangs nicely on the oven door handle. This makes it always available and super easy to slip hands into. It’s wide enough between the hand pockets to grab large casserole dishes from the oven. He padding is thick enough so that your hands don’t burn.

Bought the double mitt. A little larger than expected. I leave it on top of the microwave for collecting hot dishes. Serms like good quality for the price. Haven't washed it yet.

This is the first time I've ordered this item through Amazon. So far I'm happy with the product, it seems to be good value for the money.

perfect length, but not too thick. It could be a bit thicker for the heat of a roast pan. But overall ,I like it.

This item is really nice. Not expensive and thick enough to handle the hottest dishes with getting burnt.
